Our sustainable and innovative spaces allow students to explore their interests, make connections and collaborate, entertain and dine, and access supportive resources. Study and relax You can be alone and quiet in the meditation room, hang with friends in indoor hammocks or set up to study in one of many lounge spaces—including one with a fireplace! Connect and collaborate Reserve one of 12 meeting rooms for your next group activity or take advantage of performance space to showcase your talent. Entertain and socialize Fill your downtime with a visit to the game room or student art gallery. Shop and snack Pick up some snacks at the Re•fresh Market or Starbucks, and shop for Bronco gear at the campus bookstore. You can pop in for a quick bite in between classes, find a cozy nook for studying just steps from your room and meet up with friends for an event or fun in the game room. Reserve a space Honoring our ancestral landThis Tribal Blanket that hangs on the first level of the student center was gifted to Western by representatives from the Three Fires Confederacy. The blanket is accompanied by the following Land Acknowledgement Statement:We would like to recognize that Western Michigan University is located on lands historically occupied by the Ojibwe, Odawa and Bodewadmi nations. Please take a moment to acknowledge and honor this ancestral land of the Three Fires Confederacy, the sacred lands of all Indigenous peoples and their continued presence.
